With the advent of active learning, several curricular reforms have been introduced to engage Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics students. One among these include "Service-Learning" that helps to bridge the gap between a classroom curriculum to that of the local communities in need. This hands-on workshop will begin with an introduction to active-learning followed by an in-depth immersion to service-learning components including its history in the world of higher education. The purpose of this half a day workshop is to assist participants with gaining ideas to successfully incorporate community engagement in their curriculum. Participants will be expected to complete a few pre-assigned readings and will need to bring their respective syllabus. Besides, there will be a discussion on assessment of service-learning followed by ideas to publish in national and international journals.

In the workshop, participants will engage in hands-on activities and discussions that explore the fundamental electrochemical concepts and real-world applications. Through this interactive session, educators will gain the tools needed to make electrochemistry more accessible and engaging for students
