1. Integrating service-learning as a curricular reform to engage students with community needs

With the advent of active learning, several curricular reforms have been introduced to engage Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics students. One among these include "Service-Learning" that helps to bridge the gap between a classroom curriculum to that of the local communities in need. This hands-on workshop will begin with an introduction to active-learning followed by an in-depth immersion to service-learning components including its history in the world of higher education. The purpose of this half a day workshop is to assist participants with gaining ideas to successfully incorporate community engagement in their curriculum. Participants will be expected to complete a few pre-assigned readings and will need to bring their respective syllabus. Besides, there will be a discussion on assessment of service-learning followed by ideas to publish in national and international journals.


2. Hands-on Electrochemistry for Classroom
